find something to cook
the recipes: food i love to make, eat, and share. everyday favorites, baking projects, and the little adjustments that make a recipe my own.

RAQUEL M. ZIMMERMAN, MD, PhD
I’m a physician-scientist trainee at the University of Utah, with a background in applied mathematics and a PhD in biomedical informatics. My research has explored how data and clinical evidence can help physicians understand risk and make more individualized decisions.
I’m also an enthusiastic home cook, endurance athlete, and mountain lover. I’m curious about how food, movement, rest, and connection shape our lives—and I appreciate a meal simply because it tastes good.
Unprescribed is where I share recipes I love and thoughts on nourishment, culinary medicine, and integrative health. As my clinical training develops, I’m especially interested in integrative oncology and how evidence-informed nutrition and lifestyle approaches can complement conventional care.
